Activating MSMD in ansys fluent

      Hello, 

      I have a quick question. I was doing a tutorial of MSMD, and when I defined the cell, tab zones, and tab faces, MSMD was easily activated using "define models addon module. and then choosing [8]". 

      However, when I tried another geometry without defining the cell and tab zones, when I tried to activate the MSMD, it gave an error.

      Is it required to name all the zones and faces, such as cell, negative, and positive tab, for the MSMD to be activated?

      It is not mandatory to name zone or faces as you mentioned. Share some snipet of error and cell zone details in new case.

      Hi, Thanks for your reply. This is what I get. But also, please note that when I changed the geometry to 3D by extruding it, battery mode was activated. Could that be the reason? Does it only work with the 3D? don`t know, I appreciate your help

      Yes, battery model is available only in 3D Fluent mode and thats the issue you are facing here. Please proceed with 3D geometry.
