How do I enable the acoustic sponge layer? I'm not able to find the option in fluent 2023 R2

      Hello Ashwin,
you can find the Acoustics Sponge Layer in Fluent > Physics > Models > Acoustics > Sponge Layers.

Make sure your physics are set to Transient and that you are using a compressible fluid.

As per the link shown below, the Acoustics Sponge Layer is available for the pressure-based solver. I see that you are using density-based in your screenshot.

Is there an equivalent for the density based solver? Im solving for flow through a duct with shocks and would like to enforce a backpressure at the dut exit without reflecting any pressure waves.
