Accessing Species Enthalpies with Multiphase PSR Reactor (Chemkin 2024R1)

      Hello

I am studying thermal decomposition of a polymer for which I have a kinetic mechanism and thermodynamic data. For this purpose I am using a multiphase PSR reactor. The polymer starts to decompose from a liquid state and releases gaseous products as time goes on. The reaction mechanism works seemingly, both for isothermal conditions and solving the energy balance. To validate my thermochemical properties against experimental data, I want to study the heat release of the sample in function of the temperature. However, during post-processing, I can't see/select any species enthalpies.

I have come across subroutines to possibly extract those values but I wonder if there is more straightforward way to do so.

      Kind regards,
      Zouhir

      Hi Zouhir:

ONly the mixture enthalpy can be obtained from the post processing.  For non-proprietary mechanisms, you may be able to view the species s, Cp andreference H data using the Mechanism viewer, however - see below
