How to get absorption in RCWA solver? I want to do parameter optimization by varying different parameters for absorption. Can you please suggest how to do it?

You will need to get RCWA result in the analysis script inside "model", and output it in the "Output" as usual:

then you can sweep the layer thickness. Please try.

But Rp and Rs are the reflections corresponding to p-polarized and s-polarized light. But I want to calculate absorption. One way to calculate is (1-Rp-Tp). But is it possible to calculate through the volume integration over the region (the way we do  in FDTD)?

You are right that currently you can use (1-Rp-Tp).

Please note that the volume integration method is less accurate since it involves more data calculation. If you are not calcualting the spatial-absorption distribution, using (1-Rp-Tp) should be sufificient.

Improvement for RCWA outputs is under the way.
