We are running a debian license manager server (not FlexLM) and have been for several years now. With 2024.R1 it seems to only accept a flexlm license server? I am setting ANSYSLI_SERVERS=port@host, but it says the license server is offline even though I can ping the license server and netcat the port just fine. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Emery,Â
Starting 2021R1, Ansys no longer uses the Licensing Interconnect service. It was present in older versions but is entirely removed for Ansys 2024R1 applications.Â
Did you get a chance to use the 'SERVER=port@server' variable in the 'C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\ansyslmd.ini' file?
You can also use 'ANSYSLMD_LICENSE_FILE=port@servername' as the system environment variable.Â
I hope this helps.Â

Ahh. Thank you. I updated to flexnet and set the variables in the ini file and everything works now. Thank you!
