SubscriberHi,
I am a university student currently completing some simulations on TPMS (triply periodic minimal surface) as heat exchangers. I have generated a structure in spaceclaim, with wall boundaries and an open inlet and outlet, which i have named as faces. I then save and convert to pmdb and open in fluent mesher. I have applied some local sizing to the solid TPMS structure and then applied shared topology to this solid structure. The issue arises when trying to enclose and create regions.
I stated in the describe geometry tab it would be only a solid, and that i would cap openings and extract the fluid. However when i select the create regions tab and input 2, it only ever creates 1. The single fluid that is created appears exactly as it should, but im at a bit of a loss as to why the second is not appearing. For context, there is no interface or contact between these two fluids, they are separated by the solid TPMS structure to act as an indirect heat exchanger.Â
Any help/advice/directions to tutorials would be greatly appreciated. I have provided some images below to hopefully make it easier to understand what the structure and the single fluid domain looks like.Â
Thanks in advance!

Ansys EmployeeHave you tried creating the fluid region in Discovery? -

SubscriberWhen using spaceclaim i can get the two fluids as bodies perfectly fine. I managed to resolve the issue by using fault tolerant meshing workflow instead. THe whole thing meshed fine. However i am now getting an issue where i cannot mesh the interfaces between the fluids and the solid between them. One fluid-solid interface meshes ok, but the other gets the following error and crashes fluent. I know its to do with memory, but i cant understand why its trying to convert an interior zone to a wall and then failing spectacularly. I have provided screenshots of it working for the cold fluid, but not for the hot
