The substrate is set as a wall and the cell zone conditions for it are solid. The substrate is meshed (I have played around and haven't been able to remove the mesh on this section.)
The setup is simply a closed system, a sphere above the substrate, only one particle is present as this simulation is merely a proof of concept before I build it up and work towards the final model. Â
When using the post processor and viewing the time-step animation the particle simply passes through the substrate without even a hint of interaction, I suspect you are correct, and the substrate is being treated as a fluid domain. I'll look into it, can you think of anything obvious I may have missed? I'm no expert in CFD.
