In transient structural analysis, the elements used have typically UX,UY,UZ for 3D solid bodies (and also rotational if shells and beams are used), so they do not have temperature degrees of freedom (so we can not do what you mention).

What are you trying to do ? Explain in detail, and so forum members can provide some feedback to help you.
