Depending on the boundary set up we might set a pressure outlet (typically 0 Pa gauge) and a velocity inlet. Find the pressure on the inlet and that's the shell side pressure drop found. Depending on the tube configuration, these may be modelled properly (ie all tubes are meshed) or as a porous media (too many to want to resolve in the model): both are valid and the "best" option depends on the circumstances.
