Fair enough. You'll need to use one of the Step/Parasolid/IGES formats to transfer the geometry. Licenced versions have readers for more CAD formats. You also need to read up on Share Topology in the Discovery geometry tool: that and adding surface labels (Named Selections) are the only things you can't do in CAD without the readers.
