For current leak to air issue
Cause of Generation:
- A tiny/watertight object cannot generate initial mesh
- A conductor is splitting the domain into multiple volumes (a solid sphere conducting shell, or a coilÂ
with torus shape around a toroidal core)
- Excitations are unbalanced or incorrect
Solution:
- Change initial mesh setting mesh method to Classic mesh or Tolerant TAU mesh
- Open a hole or gap in the conductor to leave a connection between all non-conducting volumes.
- Fix the excitations, checking each of the following:
➢ If input/output type excitations, make sure that the conductor input/output faces exactly coincideÂ
with the outer boundary face.
➢ Try switching from input/output type excitations on the external faces of the conductors to aÂ
single cross-section sheet within the conductor volume.
➢ If several currents combine/split within a conducting structure, try leaving one terminal on theÂ
outer boundary open. This last terminal should automatically account for the difference in all theÂ
other current excitations on the conducting structure and removes the possibility of imbalanceÂ
(or over-constraint).
