I am not sure why this disparity is causing, on a similar drop scenario as follows a ball of mass 5.1378e-004 kg with a volume of 6.545e-008 m³ is added with a mass of 20kg and is been dropped with a velocity of 10 m/s
As per my calculations, the total kinetic energy of the system is approximately 1000.03 Joules where DYNA produced with a small difference as follows and ignoring the point mass the results are given in right, so there are no issues on the solver side, need to check the model for inaccuracies or in your hand calculations and see if you had summed up the total KE from Etotal=Epointmass+Eball
