Hi Luis,
A possibility is to work with the material thresholds in the Design Settings dialog box, which tells the Maxwell solvers how to deal with conductors and insulators. Materials with conductivities above the Perfect Conductor threshold are treated as having infinite conductivity and surface current only, while materials with conductivity values below the Insulator/Conductor threshold are treated as insulators with no conductivity and no current carrying capability.
You can partially influence the solver using Control Program located in the Analysis/ Setup. This requires certain expertise, and it is not available in all the solvers. You can find detailed information in the Maxwell Help.
I hope this helps.
