If you study my model, you will notice a Command object under the Static Structural branch with the command

neqit,100

which causes the solution to keep trying for 100 iterations instead of stopping after 26 iterations. This may help in your model.

Does your model use Link180 elements or Beam elements on the line bodies of the string?
