Hi,

It seems the minimum slenderness ratio value 30 is given, because a beam is refered as short if the slenderness ratio is less than 30.

As the formulation for beam188 is for slender beam, a slenderness ratio greater than 30 is mentioned. However, you can use the element for slenderness ratio less than 30 as well. The results won't be much different (most probably). I suppose it won't give any error.
