Hi Erik,
Yes, I'm looking for the acoustic modes in an optical fiber.
It is related to my PhD research, regarding Brillouin Scattering.
So I want to find the resonant frequencies, determined by the geometry and the mechanical properties of the medium. 
(I do it in COMSOL, but rather use Ansys's tools).
For this I provide a cross section of the said geometry, and serach for the radial  acoustic modes - that's why I want 2D simulation and not 3D.Â
