Hello, Manuel.
The flow curves calculated by the solver are constructed by monitoring Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) elements traversing a geometry within the time interval between two outputs. The value of a point on the curve at a given output is the algebraic sum of the masses of all elements that have traversed the geometry during the interval between that output and the previous one, divided by this time interval. In other words, it represents an average value over that interval. Particles traversing in the direction of the normal vector to the geometry are considered with "positive" mass in the sum, while those traversing in the opposite direction are considered "negative."
Best Regards.
