If you move the data transfer cells away from the object to avoid the gradients it should be less of an issue? 

If your supervisor talks to the Ansys contact on your side they should have a name/contact within Ansys. I can't be much more precise as it'll depend on where you are. Alternatively, the "Contact us" form on ansys.com should get you somewhere.
