Thank you for reaching out to the Ansys Learning Forum, your patience on this issue is much appreciated.

Please note that there is a kernel change in AEDT geometry modeling starting from 23R1 and later versions. That would be the reason for not being able to replicate the geometry creation steps. 

It is recommended to specify the number of segments for the cylindrical objects and then you would be able to follow the same procedure as before. The nominal value would be 50 segments. You can also use a higher number of segments but that would result in a bigger mesh.
