Hello, 

You are correct, the imaginary part of the existing models is not included. However, there is a workaround in order to include the absorption characteristic of a material. An option would be to create your own material model (check link #2). I have to let you know that it is quite an advanced feature that requires a very good understanding of the FDTD method as well as experience in C++ programming, meaning that it will require recompiling the C++ code, and changing the update equations.
