You can use the tools to find out the temperature the components reach based on the ambient conditions, thermal load etc. Whether than causes damage to those components may be something that the Electronic Desktop tools can handle, but I'd be looking at the specification sheets to see whether they're going to be OK. 

You may want to review some of the Learning materials to see what can be done, and how you'd do it.
