The drag coefficient is influenced by the size and shape of the object. When you search for Cd values online, these values are often provided for specific conditions, including a certain Reynolds number and sometimes a reference thickness. In 2D simulations, thickness is not a physical parameter, but a reference thickness may be assumed for the purpose of calculations. This reference thickness is often used to non-dimensionalize the results.when comparing Cd values for 2D simulations, make sure to check the reference values and assumptions used in obtaining those coefficients
