If the geometry/mesh has added some interface zones due to proximity you may need to remove these. There are some automatic rules for contact for Mechanical, and these can interfere with the CFD meshes. Ideally for a CFD mesh the only interface contacts should be for sliding zones, everything else should be conformal.
