I'm fairly sure you need to download & reinstall. Student comes with a built in licence and the older method mentioned in the thread was removed in around 2020Rx as it prevented some features from working correctly. 

The "full" versions of the software allow licences to be replaced, and for software to be updated without altering the licence file.Â
