The wider community can comment with a bit more leeway.  However, staff can only refer you to the guidelines that Mrunali refers to. 

The question isn't so much as will this run Ansys, but what do you want to be able to do using Ansys on your laptop? Because of the model size limitations on Student your requirements will be different to if you're doing research with a paid for licence.Â
