Hi Joe,

  • To measure the directional deformation of nodes in LS-Dyna follow these steps:
  • Go to FEM>Element Tools>Measure on the top menu.
  • Select Dist N2N as the type of measurement, which means distance between two nodes.

Choose the nodes you want to measure and hit plot. It’ll show the change of displacement between the selected nodes in time.
