If you have Visual Studio installed on your computer, this will cause Intel MPI to fail and crash during the installation process. 

Install Lumerical and Microsoft MPI manually on your computer as shown in the Knowledge Base (KB).

Do not install Intel MPI using our bundled installer. Run the simulation using the default Job launching preset, Microsoft MPI.Â
