We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

Maxwell uses dynamic core loss model and method to calculate the core loss, and there is an reference "a dynamic core loss model for soft ferromagnetic and power ferrite materials in transient finite element analysis", D.Lin, etc.
With high increase of excitation or flux density, the core loss had a high value in this calculation. The above results make sense for me so far because of the excitation with harmonics. Here is some information for it.
1). Try to use smooth BH curve.
2). If using current source, the current excitation should be smooth and reasonable in physics. It is no special requirement for the voltage source.
Thanks.
