I'm not sure I quite understand the question.
The adaption registers aren't a separate cell zone, they're marked cells to then patch in the "solid" material that will melt. If the spheres are smaller than the cells you'll not mark anything. To view the marked spheres use the Display option in the Adaption tool, or the solid/liquid fraction on the contours.
