Lifting eye analysis procedure

Hello Dear Engineers. nI have a box with four lifting eyes welded. nI am wondering how to analyse lifting eyes during lifting properly.. Particulary, how to simulate slings.nI have seen some videos and there are some engineers use the spring tool whereas others use remote points and link it with each other choosing behavior like the beam with radius of 100 mm.nI have tried all of them and i have got defferent resulties. nTell me please a right procedure for simulating slings?n nnn

,nBeam elements are used for simulating slender/moderately thick beam structures which include shear deformation effect. Since a sling does not support shear, using Beam elements would give incorrect results. You could use springs which are simple-tension compression elements.nRegards,nIshan.n

.nThank you for your response. Could you please send me a correct spring settings to simulate slings?nBecause my spring settings show weird behavior . The cube swinging from side to side instead of goes up and down. nnn

,nSince the model wont be perfectly symmetric, the forces in the lateral direction wont cancel out. You need to select the lateral faces and add zero displacement constraints normal to them. This will constraint the block to move only along the axial direction.nRegards,nIshan.n

Ishan hello. nWhy in the case of using Remote Displacement and given setting of behavior as Rigid, Ansys built the 4 lines link, whereas behavior as Beam the 1 line link?nn n
