After simulation animations in CFD post / fluent

Hello,nBefore using Fluent 2020R2, we loaded our data files into CFD post to create contours and keyframe animations. I am trying to do this now, but with saving in .h5 files the time steps don't show up in the timestep selector in CFD post. I tried adding them and it says that Timestep addition is not supported for CFF results. I tried creating animations post simulation in Fluent, but was only able to do scene animations on a single timestep. I know you can set up animations presimulation, but I was hoping to make animations on simulations I've already run. Is this still an option in the newer Fluent/CFD post versions?.Thanks,nAlexn

.h5 will not work with 2020R2. Please check 2021R1. nALso it is recommended to export *.cdat files from Fluent for CFD-Post. nhttps://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v202/en/flu_ug/flu_ug_Automatic_Export.html%23flu_ug_Automatic_ExportnPlease go through help manual for more details nRegards,nKeyurnHow to access Ansys Online Help DocumentnHow to show full resolution imagenGuidelines on the Student CommunitynHow to use Google to search within Ansys Student Communityn

Thank you. I tried loading .h5 into CFD post 2021R1 and got the same issues as I did with 2020R2. Is there something else that needs to be done for H5 to work?nIn the future I will be sure to export .cdat files when running simulations. n

It looks like CFD Post will read the .h5 format when loading results, but is only showing CFX format results in the Timestep selector. Post isn't picking up earlier .h5 files from a run sequence either, nor is 2021R2. If can check? I don't use CFD Post so may have missed something. n

It may be linked to the .flpj file, how you load it is a different question! 8.15.6. Common Fluids Format (CFF) Files (ansys.com)nEdit: in CFD Post when you load results, instead open the .flpj filen

Thank you! Once I loaded the .flprj file the time steps came up in the timestep selector!n
