SubscriberHello everyone,
I want to use re-meshing for my large deformation simulation, but in my Ansys Workbench 2020, "Nonlinear Adaptive Region" module is inactive (screenshot is attached). I asked my friends to try the module on their own Ansys version, but apparently, they all faced the same issue.
Does anyone know how Nonlinear Adaptive Region option can be activated? (I am using Ansys version with academic license)
Thanks in advance.

Ansys EmployeeHinnSo this option is only valid for a Static Structural System , and not a transient.nIf you are using a Static Structural System it should be there at least for a full licence. Perhaps there is something with the type of licence.nnI would recommend to talk to your university IT department that deals with academic licencing to find out why this is.nnSee if that helps,nnEriknMarch 29, 2021 at 4:09 pmNKhaled
SubscriberHiThank you for leaving a comment. nYes, I used tetrahedrons mesh and it doesn't work for that either (I tried many strategies and looked it up on google carefully before posting it here ). Also, I asked my friends with different versions (2018 and 2019 with different licenses) of Ansys workbench and they had the same issue as well. nAlso, I tried static structure and it is the same for that also.Maybe someone else has an idea? (Thanks)nnMarch 29, 2021 at 4:13 pmViewing 3 reply threads- The topic ‘Nonlinear Adaptive Region icon in Transient Structure is inactive’ is closed to new replies.
