Non-Newtonian Fluid

Hello,nHow would you model mud? It is assumed to be a granular, non-Newtonian fluid.n(a) Is it enough to define a multiphase Eulerian model with a granular phase or is it also necessary to define that phase as non-Nowtonian as well?n(b) On the other hand, what happens if I work with a VOF multiphase model and a non-Newtonian fluid but without grains?n

I usually encourage to first start just using an non-newtonian fluid instead of modeling any multiphase multiscale aspects. You can model the apparent viscosity following the bingham plastic model (used for drilling fluids).nnIf you want to go through the Eulerian Granular Way: then it is enough to model the granular as the granular phase where the whole kinetics and collision and the incompressilbe regime is covered by the extended kinetic theory of granular flows. That won't be a cakewalk!n
