SubscriberThanks nAlso, there is one more confusion regarding this packed bed catalytic porous model:nWhen I switch on porous tab in cell zone condition, then in reaction tab I need to enter surface to volume ratio. As in my case it is packed bed case having reaction volumetrically (Not surface reaction), so I am putting this value to 1. But I am not sure about this value.nPlease help me in clearing this doubt.nAttached are the things which I found on FLUENT user guide about this S/V ratio. n

Forum ModeratorIn a packed bed you react on the packing surface, ie the whole point of the packing is to increase surface area and/or contact time. SubscribernAbout the surface to volume ratio, I have gone through the book that you suggested, but I am not able to find what I need. In reaction tab of cell zone condition. I need to enter this numerical value. Till now I am using 1 for packed bed case.
