SubscriberI am doing my simulation on Rayleigh-benard convection, I tried to export quantities such as heat transfer coefficient from data log quantities to results in ansys by selecting them, but still they are not shown in variables section in results. nAlso the Nusselt number option is not shown in data log quantities.n -

Forum ModeratorWhich results? It's not clear what you're trying to do. n -

SubscriberI want to plot surface Nusselt number vs length , inside a square cavity, for a Rayleigh-benard convection. But i tried to copy the surface heat transfer coefficient variable from data log quantities dialog box & hit ok option in data log quantities, still the surface heat transfer coefficient doesn't appear in the variables ssection in ansys results. n -

Forum ModeratorOK, the data passed from Fluent to CFD Post (Results) doesn't contain all the fields in Fluent. For HTC and some surface variables you're better off plotting everything in Fluent: I rarely use CFD Post and do all the post processing in Fluent. n
