SubscriberWhen I try to run an FSI simulation in LS-DYNA, the simulation immediately gets terminated when it tries to open the "include files".
I tried to run the solid model separately and this works, so I suppose the problem lies with opening the fluid mesh.

Ansys EmployeeHi Array,
What error message from LS-DYNA do you get when the run gets terminated? Can you see anything in the messag or d3hsp files? Warnings or errors?
Also, does the model run if you put all the keywords in the same file with no *INCLUDE keywords (only 1 file to run)?
Reno.

SubscriberHi Array ,
Thank you for your reply. If you mean the status in LS-Run, it just says "terminated". The picture I showed was already the messag file, and the d3hsp files I don't remember. I cannot look it up either because of course this error does not currently show. That is why I don't get what the problem is.
So when the same error shows again, I will look at the d3hsp files and otherwise try to put all the keywords in the same file.
Kind regards,

Subscriber.Hi ghamrawyk , Honestly I have not experienced this error anymore. But the last couple of months I have been focusing more on separate fluid and solid simulations so maybe when I return to FSI simulations the error will show up again. I will let you know if that is the case. Sorry I can't help you!

Subscriber.Thank you for your prompt response. I believe the problem is with the *INCLUDE keyword and how the LS-RUN accesses those files. Anyway, I will try to dig a bit deeper and find out how it works, thank you again.

Subscriber.Hi ghamrawyk ,
I am curently experiencing the problem again. I have converted an ANSYS FLUENT mesh to an LS-DYNA mesh. Now I want to run it, and it just terminates without even really starting. The d3hsp and message file both show the same information (see image below). Why does the simulation not run?

Subscriber.Hi LCP
I would suggest that you run any CFD problem using MPP rather than SMP. I would also suggest if you're using Windows to run your problem using R11 solver rather than R12, I was told that the R12 has a problem in the windows build (Where Linux just runs fine with R12).
Good luck

Subscriber.Hi ghamrawyk ,
With LS-DYNA's student version, there is no other option than SMP. Also, the only student version available is R12, instead of R11.
By the way, I only seem to experience this problem when I am using a mesh converted from ANSYS FLUENT. Not when I create the mesh in LS-Prepost.
Kind regards,
