SubscriberHi,I need to analze an unit cell of frequency selective surface. I want to specify inductance, capacitance and resistance values since FSS unit cells can be considered as equivalent circuits. However, I coudnot define the current flow line. What should be the current flow direction in unit cell of a FSS structure?.ote: I want to anaylze both square loop and square ring shaped unit cell.nCan you help me with this problem?nThank you !n -

Ansys Employee,nYou can assign R, L, or C by selecting the 'Lumped RLC' option under HFSS - Boundaries - assign, after selecting the object where you want to give these values. Please refer to the help document for more details.nBut I am not clear about the current flow line need. Could you please give us more details on where you want to define the current flow line and if possible share some pictures of the model for reference? Thanks!nnBest Regards,n -

SubscriberHi Array ,nThank you for replying me nof periodically placed unit cells can be considered as equivalent circuits, as shown in Figure 1. I want to use this phenomena in my analysis by specifiying R, L an C values to the unit cell itself. In order to the so, I want to use Lumped RLC boundary option to the unit cell (Figure 2).nIs it okay to assign this boundary to a FSS unit cell? If it is, what should be the current flow line in an unit cell?nRegards,nnArrayArrayn
