1) Decrease geometric strain limit to 0.285
2) You didn't show the details of the Bilinear Isotropic Hardening you added to the material. I also need to see the Young's modulus from the Elasticity entry.

Subscriber.Hi Peter,
Firstly, thanks for your suggestion and help. My apologies for replying late as ANSYS sent the comment to my junk mail.
The Ti-6Al-4V material was obtained from ANSYS's Additive Manufacturing Materials Engineering Data Source. I have attached a picture of the material properties.
However, I edited the yield strength and tangent modulus as seen in the two other pictures attached.
I have attached the young modulus properties in another picture.
Finally, after changing just the geometric strain limit 0.285, i still do get high strain values as seen below

SubscriberHello Array , have you got any tensile test data of your material, if yes, the EPS is the final strain read by the UTM. you need to use that value in material by adding the plastic strain from failure box in material tab.
If your using the explicit dynamics, you need to change the failure criteria to the suit the material rather than the percentage of strain say 20% in the analysis settings of the explicit systems.Comment down your response
Cheers

SubscriberHi Ram,
I do not have any tensile test data, I am using the data from the material found in ANSYS, and added a maximum EPS as a failure to my material.
You mention that I should change the failure criteria to suit the material...how should I do so?
Thank you!
Regards,
Ming Wei

Subscriber. When you added (Plastic Strain Failure) to the material, what value did you write in (Maximum Equivalent Plastic Strain EPS)?
