SubscriberHi, I'm new to Ansys and I've installed Ansys 2020 R2 Academic version.
I'm following the CornellXÂ ENGR2000X's CFD example and got stucked since Ansys Fluent Setup does not start.
I got no error messages, no warnings, nothing...
I tried to re-install, but it didn't work.
I've tried to initialize it by cmd using:
"D:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Studentv202fluent tbinwin64fluent.exe" ^-r20.2.0 3d -g -meshing
and I got the following

SubscriberYeah Im getting the same problem. Done all the geometry and made the mesh, dragged over the fluent tab and when I go to launch the fluent it comes up with a licensing problemn
Any fixes found?nFIXED!!!!!!!nMy fix was simply changing it from six processors (Happens when you right click and edit on the fluent tab) and changing it to 4 processors. Dont know why it only allows 4 but this made it start up properly so give that a go! Hope it works!n

Forum ModeratorThat means you're running the solution on 4 cpu rather than just one. Given the model size limits and that Student is for learning the tool you don't really need more. Commercial Fluent jobs without the node/cell count limit are routinely run on hundreds of cores, and KAUST used 200k or so for a project. nFebruary 1, 2021 at 2:17 pmandreyson
