SubscriberHow can I apply a surface load on an area that belongs to two volumes?nI have created two volumes through these commands (one small block volume inside a bigger volume):nBLOCK,-5,5,-5,5,-5,5 ! create a big block V1nBLOCK,-3,3,-3,3,0,-5 ! create a small block inside the big block V2nVSBV,1,2,,DELETE,KEEP ! cut out small block from big block and delete the not-cut big block V1nAfter meshing these volumes I want to apply a surface load on the top area of the small block (V1). The problem is that this area and also it's nodes are shared with the bigger volume. nI tried to apply the surface load with SFA and SF, like this:nASEL,S,AREA,,8nSFA,ALL,,PRES,100nBut the load is not applied. It only works on areas that only belong to one volume, but not to this one.nDoes anyone have an idea how it might work?nThank you in advance,nMarlenenn -

SubscriberHello Ashish Khemka, nthank you very much for your reply! nThe problem is, that I want to apply the load on one single area that is in between two volumes. I took a screenshot maybe it becomes more clear!nLeft: Both volumes 1+2nRight top: Big volume 1nRight bottom: Small volume 2nI'm trying to apply a surface load on area A8 of the smaller volume 2 (or the nodes of the area 8 after meshing). But this area 8 is also part of the bigger volume, so the load application doesn't work for me with the commands SFA or SF. nThank's in advance,nMarlenen
