SubscribernThank you very much for the reply,nWell I tried this one. But it did not worknIn APDL we normally do it as following... I just put the important commands, following is not a complete commandnET,3,186nKEYOPT,3,15,1n....nPSYS,0nPMLOPT,0,THREEtn,...nTYPE,3n..n..nVMESH,ALLnALLSELnnIn Workbench I could change the elements and keopts at the geometry tree, because i thought that we need to define the PML layers before... not like INFIN...., then i tried to use the psys in a different command snippet ..this did not work. ...So do you know any solutions for thisnThank youn -

SubscriberHello there,
It's been some time since you posted your question, but for the sake of other searching people I'ld like to submit my humble suggestion of how to use PML in Ansys Mechanical 2022 R2. I select in the tree outline -> Geometry -> my geometry that shall be PML -> right click -> Insert -> Commands. For solid structures, I use here:
keyopt,matid,15,1
in line 10 for example. This was functionable for structural steel in flat structures in direct contact with a plate structure. For fluid elements, the code snippets would be different, if anybody knows more on this: please add your knowledge! :D
Greets,
