      Hi,

I'm performing 3D XFEM crack growth, but several errors like:

       *** WARNING ***

For cgrow id 1, the crack segment with crack id 1 will not propagate

from the current crack tip element 51 into the element 55 since this

       element is already cracked.

are displayed (figures attached below), to end up with the last one:

       *** ERROR ***

Solution not converged at time 1.51992187 (load step 1 substep 9).

       Run terminated.

nnCan you try reducing the RSWEEP values?.Regards,nAshish Khemkan

Hi @akhemka ,nThank you for your reply, nok, but changing the sweep angles (for instance from RSWEEP,100,-90,90 to ...100,-40,40) should I expect a different crack path, isn'it?nJust to be sure if a subsequent crack path check is necessary.nThanks again,nRegards

nnYes, that may reduce the sweep angle but we have seen in a case that it helped.nnRegards,nAshish Khemkan
