SubscriberHello Guys, I am new to learn Ansys. I have some confusion understanding the "Areas" from "Reference Values". I am trying to solve Flow around a cylinder from CFD Benchmark.
I can't understand what is reference area means. the diameter of the cylinder is 0.1.

SubscriberWhen you generate a report with values of the lift and drag coefficients Cl and Cd, which area will you use to calculate the drag and lift forces? let's say you decide to use the projected area (L*D), So, set this as the reference area.nJanuary 11, 2021 at 10:26 amRob
