Hello Everyone,nI am trying to simulate a 2D turbine using Ansys Fluent Dynamic mesh method, I want to find the torque coefficient for the turbine to find power coefficient. How can I find the values of torque coefficient correctly?nPlease Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!n

Hi, nYou should be able to obtain this value by calculating the Moment Coefficient from Reports -> Definitions -> Force Reports -> Moment. nYou will need to define the Moment Center and Moment Axis appropriately.nThank you.nKarthikn

Thanks for the response!!!nI did find values of moment coefficient through report definitions but the values which I am getting through report is not equal to theoretical moment calculation that is by using formula ..nCm = T/? ?v2ARnSo how does Ansys find the values of moment coefficient? nAnd also how to set the reference values ?.n

Please see Section 30.2.1 Computing Forces, Moments, and the Center of Pressure (Fluent Theory Guide) to understand the definition of the moment coefficient. Here is the link.nArrayRegarding the reference values, you will need to set them manually. Please refer to the following link from the Fluent Users Guide about the Reference Values (41.12.1. Setting Reference Values)nArrayThank you.n
