SubscriberHello Dear Engineers.
I need to get average stress on a line-limited flat area inside a solid body.
In other words i want to create an named selection line-limited flat area and get average stress on it.
Could someone advice me how it might be done?

SubscribernCreate a new Equivalent Stress plot, but instead of All Bodies, select a face or an edge.nOnce you do this, you can evaluate the stress for the solution shown above, which is a very coarse mesh.nNow put a Sizing mesh control on that face, and enter a smaller value to get more elements on that face.nSolve for elements 1/2 the size, 1/4 the size, 1/8 the size and plot the Maximum Stress vs the element size.nYou want to see the stress plot vs element size converge to a value that you can extrapolate to zero element size.nViewing 1 reply thread- The topic ‘How to view an average stress on a line-limited flat area inside a solid body?’ is closed to new replies.
