I was reading in the ANSYS AQWA manual, that there is a limit of 20 structures for a hydrodynamic analysis. However, within my analysis I get the error:nFull QTF cannot be calculated for more than 3 structures.nnCan somebody tell me why there is a limit of 3 structures when calculating the full QTF and if there is a way to work around this error?n

Hello,nANSYS Aqwa can define up to 50 structures in a model, among which up to 20 diffraction structures may be considered as the hydrodynamic interaction structures. However, if the calculation of the difference and sum frequency full QTF matrices is required, only 3 diffraction structures could be defined in the Aqwa model. It is due to the memory limitation in the time domain analysis for storing the interpolated full QTF matrices for up to 200 wavelets in short-crested irregular waves.nThe Newman?s approximation will be automatically applied for estimating the difference frequency second order forces if the full QTF matrices do not exist. Please do not choose the full QTF matrix calculation option if there are more than 3 diffraction structures in your model.nThank you.nKarthikn
