SubscriberI m modelling a plate with 3 stiffeners along length and 8 stiffeners along width, all using shell281 elements in APDL.
How do I mesh at intersection of these stiffeners?
I m getting errors like pivot solver term errors, model improperly constrained etc.
How do I resolve the issue of overlapping meshing ? Kindly help which APDL commands are to be used.

Ansys EmployeeTo get conformal nodes, you should merge the areas using AGLUE command. Remove the overlapping areas. Once Areas are connected properly, mesher can create properly connected mesh.nMarch 30, 2021 at 5:56 amrafi4366
SubscriberThank you for the help. Remodeled the overlapping areas and it worked. NUMMRG command was used to get the desired meshing. nViewing 2 reply threads- The topic ‘Modelling and Meshing’ is closed to new replies.
