SubscriberHi, does this mean Ansys Fluent can solve a dimensionless governing equations?nOctober 5, 2020 at 1:47 pmKarthik Remella
AdministratorHello,nNo, Ansys Fluent always solves the governing equations in the dimensional from. In this course, we will teach you the importance of dimensional analysis and dimensionless numbers in Fluid Dynamics. nFor example, Our next step in space exploration is a human mission to Mars. One of the challenges is to understand how things would work in the Martian atmosphere. The pressure, density, temperature and composition of the atmosphere is different from what we have on Earth. How do we test these conditions without being physically present there? The answer lies in Dimensional analysis and Similarity. We will learn how to recast the governing equations into their dimensionless form so we can apply the same solution to similar conditions.nThanks.nKarthiknViewing 3 reply threads- The topic ‘Introducing: Dimensional Analysis and Similarity’ is closed to new replies.
