Convergence error on stent deployment

Hi everyone, I am trying to simulate a stent expansion inside an artery using a balloon. The geometry is shown in the cross-section below.

The elements in the artery are too large. Make them at least 1/2 the size but you might find that 1/4 the size or even smaller is required.nIs the artery modeled with a Hyperelastic Material model? Have you watched my tutorial on Hyperelastic material models?n/forum/discussion/18002/convergence-during-large-deflection-of-hyperelastic-materialsn

The elements are indeed too large and the justification behind this is to save computational time. I will create a denser mesh on those areas and see what happens.nThe artery is a Hyperelastic Material. Should I use the mixed u-P element formulation?nI appreciate your time. n

Yes, convergence will be almost impossible without the mixed u-P element formulation.n
