SubscriberI am doing static structural analysis of underwater vehicle . In realistic world , vehicle is not fixed to anything underwater . How would i constraint vehicle in such a way that it reflects the actual realistic boundary .nn -

SubscriberUse three non-collinear vertices on the vehicle.nApply a displacement on the first vertex and set X, Y and Z to 0.nApply a displacement on the second vertex (spaced in X from the first) and set Y and Z to 0 while leaving X free.nApply a displacement on the third vertex (spaced in Y from the first) and set Z to 0 while leaving X and Y free.nThose six constraints on three vertices will allow the vehicle to float freely and allow a pressure load to be applied to the hull surfaces for instance. The deformation plot will be relative to the first vertex.n
